"Waddenzee": tides and ...
The Wadden Sea, the area between the mainland and the Wadden Islands, is particularly interesting because of its tidal extremes.
The Dutch ships are very much at home here and instead of going into harbour are often intentionally run aground in the middle of the Sea where one soon becomes surrounded by a massive expanse of sand and tranquillity.
The islands provide a pleasant soujourn, a safe environment where you can learn to ride a bicycle again.
Things to see and do:
- Sail deep gullies or with just 10 cm keel clearance
- Visit some of the most beautiful dutch islands
- Run aground intentionally and walk on the sand of the Sea
